MusicalFare Theatre, Western New York's most awarded and only professional musical theatre company, presents the 3rd production of its 2011-2012 subscription season, the Premiere Regional production of AVENUE Q.  AVENUE Q is Broadway's smash-hit, 2004 Tony Award winner for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book.  A hilarious show full of heart and hummable tunes, AVENUE Q is about trying to make it in NYC with big dreams and a tiny bank account.  Called "one of the funniest shows you're ever likely to see" by Entertainment Weekly, it features a cast of people and puppets who tell the story in a smart, risque and downright entertaining way.  The New Yorker calls it "SUBVERSIVE and UPROARIOUS!"  Due to adult situations (like full-puppet nudity), AVENUE Q may be inappropriate for children under 13.  (Parents should use their discretion based on the maturity level of their children. But we promise you this - if you DO bring your teenagers to AVENUE Q, they'll think you're really cool!)

The MusicalFare cast includes Jacob Albarella, Charmagne Chi, Jeffrey Coyle, Maria Droz, Amy Jakiel, Adrienne Lewis and Marc Sacco. Set Design is by Chris Schenk, Lighting & Sound Design is by Chris Cavanagh and Costume Design is by Kari Drozd.           

The performance schedule is January 25th – March 4th, Wednesday and Thursday  at 7:00pm, Friday at 8:00pm, Saturday at 4:00pm and 8:00pm and Sunday at 2:00pm. There will be a special “half-price preview” on Tuesday, January 24th at 7:00pm.  Meet-the-cast talkbacks take place after all Wednesday performances EXCEPT opening night, January 25th.

MusicalFare Theatre is a professional musical theatre company in residence at, but independently operated from, Daemen College. MusicalFare Theatre is located at 4380 Main Street in Amherst, NY (between Harlem and Getzville Roads).  Parking is FREE, and the theatre is handicapped accessible, complete with a hearing-impaired system.
