MusicalFare Theatre Extends Show Runs for
Entire 2010-2011 Season
Unprecedented Growth for Local Theatre Creates
More Options for WNY Theatregoers
AMHERST, NY - MusicalFare Theatre has announced a one-week addition to each of its performance runs for the entire 2010-2011 season. The new six-week performance run improves the schedule flexibility and seating options for season subscribers, while increasing show access for non-season subscribers.
Leading up to its 20-year anniversary celebration this year, the past two seasons mark unprcedented growth for MusicalFare, including:
- An all-time high of 2,581 season subscribers in the 2009-2010 season
- Average show audience operating at 97 percent capacity
- $1.8 million economic impact for the 2008-2009 season
"Piur goal is to accommodate both our loyal season subscribers and new patrons," said Randy Kramer, executive director for MusicalFare Theatre. "As we grow, we remain committed to producing shows that allow for the intimate atmosphere our audience enjoys while creating more opportunities for new theatregoers to experience a MusicalFare Theatre production."
Running performances for an extra week allows MusicalFare Theatre to generate approximately 800 additional tickets per production for single ticket buyers and season subscribers. It also allows for a four- and five-show subscriber option that, for the first time ever, includes the coveted summer show as part of the five-show season subscription.
The 2010-2011 MusicalFare season will feature:
- "Shout!" [Sept 8 - Oct 17]
- "Cabaret" [Nov 3 - Dec 12]
- "[title of show]" [Jan 26 - Mar 6]
- "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" [Apr 6 - May 15]
- "One for My Baby" [Jul 6 - Aug 6]
"Even in this challenging economy, we have been able to bring more musical theatre to WNY through good planning and wonderful audience support," said Kramer. "We are dedicated to remaining a small, intimate theater for all members of the community to enjoy."
Four and five show subscription packages range from $120-$155. Average single ticket prices range from $15 (student) to $38.
