Dear Greg, Thanks for your feedback. It was only early this week that we completely ran out of tickets for BEYOND THE RAINBOW. Up until this weekend we had a limited number of seats available for each weekend. The show has done very well at the box office but we weren't sure if an extra week … more would sell enough to warrant the extra investment. Additionally, the Jewish Repertory Theatre is opening GOLDA's BALCONY at MusicalFare on June 5th so an extension would have caused some serious scheduling difficulties. Thanks again for your thoughts.

Why not extend Beyond the Rainbow?

What a fantastic show!!!!! My only question is when a show sells out every weekend and you are turning people away in large numbers why not extend it another week or two.

Just saw the performance last night and had to tell you what a thrill it was to witness such a professionally done show. As a many year season ticket holder I rate "Rainbow" as one of the very best! The entire cast, especially the gals, were exceptional, and John's choreography and staging were … more wonderful. I definitely would give this show four stars!!

BEYOND THE RAINBOW

I SAW THE SHOW FRIDAY NIGHT AND I WAS SIMPLY BLOWN AWAY BY IT. I GREW UP WITH JUDY GARLAND AND I ADORED HER. I SAW HER MOVIES OVER AND OVER AND I HAD THE GOOD FORTUNE TO SEE HER WHEN SHE PLAYED IN BUFFALO AT KLEINHAN'S MUSIC HALL. I SAT IN THE FRONT ROW AND SHOOK HER HAND. THEN I FAINTED DEAD … more AWAY. I OWN PROBABLY MORE THAN 100 OF HER CD'S AND PLAY THEM ENDLESSLY, EACH TIME LOVING THEM MORE. TO ME SEEING "BEYOND THE RAINBOW" WAS JUST LIKE SEEING JUDY LIVE AGAIN. I WAS EVERY BIT AS ENTHRALLED AS I WAS THAT NIGHT SO MANY YEARS AGO AT KLEINHANS. MICHELLE MARIE ROBERTS AS YOUNG JUDY STARTING OUT AT AGE 6 AS FRANCES GUMM AND GOING ALL THE WAY TO CARNEGIE HALL (AGE ?) WAS ASTONISHING. AND WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT MY BELOVED LORAINE O'DONNELL? SHE WENT FROM BELTING TO CARESSING AND BACK AGAIN EXACTLY THE WAY JUDY DID. HER EVERY MANNERISM WAS RIGHT ON, EVEN THE TRIPPY WAY JUDY RAN BACK AND FORTH ACROSS THE STAGE. IT WAS JUST UNCANNY. DIRECTOR DOUG WEYAND HAD TO HAVE MADE A LIFETIME STUDY OF GARLAND. TO PUT IT SIMPLY AND SUCCINTLY HE NAILED HER. ALTOGETHER IT WAS ANOTHER GLORIOUS NIGHT AT MUSICALFARE THANKS TO ALL WHO WERE INVOLVED IN MAKING THIS MAGIC HAPPEN. THEY BROUGHT JUDY BACK TO US AS IF SHE NEVER LEFT.

WHAT A SUPER WONDERFUL SHOW! ! ! JUST CAME HOME AND WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT THIS WAS A TOTALLY SUPER SEASON FINALE! ! JUST WONDERFUL. CONGRATULATIONS ON A WONDERFUL SEASON, AGAIN!
