Mid-Life! The Crisis Musical

On the Time Warner Cable Stage at MusicalFare Theatre

What others had to say*

I agree with most of the negative things already posted about this show. I've seen it all made fun of before and I laughed the first time. Now it's just an old and sad attempt trying to pass itself off as something new, intersting and thought provoking. It didn't work for me or the person I wentmore with. I know I can't, but I wish I could get my money back.

Dear Mr. Schiappa- MusicalFare reserves seats for subscribers from the moment we start offering subscriptions until 3 weeks before any performance date. In some cases, this means that seats are held and available to subscribers for over a year. We have 136 seats total in our theatre and wemore cannot afford to hold them up until show time in case a subscriber wants to make a last minute reservation. If we did that, we would need to raise ticket prices significantly to make up for the lost revenue from seats that were never sold. In all of our communications to subscribers we stress that reservations should be made a minimum of three weeks in advance to guarantee their seats. I'm sorry you are not happy with our policy but I think it is the best way to keep our tickets afordable while still giving our subscribers plenty of leeway in reserving their seats. If you have further questions, please call me directly at 839-8565. Thank you.

Everyone should be aware that having a season ticket subscription and running into a "hot" sellout show at season end will result in useless tickets. My wife and I hold 4 worthless tickets and will not be back after trying for 3 weeks. They will not let us carry them into the new season so we aremore out. What a shame. Any comments Mr. Kramer? I also asked to be removed from the mailing list which was not done.

This will be my final post. I'm sure Phil and a few others will be the happier for it. Although, it boggles my mind as to why. Thank you, Phil, for thanking me on my personal explanation of my support of theater. I only felt the need to offer "my personal explanation", because of the underlyingmore assumption of yours that I only go to theater if it's a freebie (which, for some reason, to you, would render my opinion less valid). Your assumption couldn't be further from the truth. And the temperature in here is beautiful. I couldn't be more comfortable. It certainly takes a lot more than what's being dished out to get my ire up. I also, most likely, will not be checking back to see what clever witicisms, if any, are thrown back. I wish you all,Phil, and especially MusicalFare much success. I think we're all in agreement that we want to see good theater. Thank you MusicalFare for this forum. I hope it proves to be a helpful tool for you. All the best, Helen

My husband and I were surprised to see the small attendance at this show and we both enjoyed it very much. It was well presented and light and funny. I think many people were misled by some of the reviews that appeared. We are a bit above the 50 age group and we found our selves laughing aboutmore what we went through during those years. The last segment was very moving and many of us have had members of our family go through this stage, but let's face it, the crisis of age comes to all of us and it does us all good to have a good laugh at ourselves. Sorry some of you folks missed it. We really enjoyed it,and the cast did a great job.
