SUNDAY
Guy, Monday, April 6th, 2009
Since seeing the show, when a light wind blows through the trees, and the sun is in a particular position, and it's Sunday, and the lake is splinters of diminishing ice, and people are milling about soaking up whatever heat the bright day will offer - that lovely tune rolls through my mind. Imore enjoyed the show very much. I wrote a review at my blog at thenameofthisblogiseastofhere.blogspot.com

Brilliant!

This production deserves nothing but praise AND thanks! Sunday In The Park With George is loaded with themes and ideas to involve and engage just about everyone. In Musicalfare's hands it does this and something more - it entertains making this brilliant musical accessable to all.

Hi, I'm Zoe Appler, Age 12, I was at the opening night preformance and I absolutely adored this musical. I went out and bought the album a day later. I loved it!

Hello. Just a clarification based on the comment below because we've had several emails asking if there was a playbill for the show. Yes, there is. The comment below was made by someone who attended the Sunday night (Daemen Night) preview at MusicalFare which is for Daemen students, faculty &more staff. Our playbills aren't printed and available until the Tuesday night preview, 2 days later. So, those attending future performances of SUNDAY... can be assured that there is a playbill for the production. Thanks!

I think that for those who were introduced to a Sondheim play for the very first time, it might have been confusing, especially without the playbill and the production notes. Welcome to Sondheim! A brief introduction may have been helpful. He completely overturns your views and perspectives, hemore juxtaposes the present with the past and pokes fun at the very subject matter he presents so passionately. Keeping up with the lyrics and imagery was work. For those who are familiar with the plays of Sondheim, it was a glorious exploration of an artist and his work. After all the emotional content of the first half and the exploration of color, it was fitting at the end to take the audience back to the pure white canvas. What an ending. Thank you for challenging all of us in the audience, I loved it.
