At MusicalFare, we strive to continuously engage our community through theatrical performance, as well as utilize the relationships we establish with our community partners to educate our youth and become a reliable source of education and advocacy. To show our support in this effort, we are offering paid, and non-paid internships for specific areas of concentration. The two areas of concentration are:
THE FIRST STAGE (Non-paid internships)
This internship will be tailored for high school students in 11th or 12th grade (16+). We will work in solidarity with the institution and the student to help them focus on tasks that will assist them when they are ready to begin working in theatrical productions. This internship gives students the opportunity to gain experiences in every area of the company. The allotted period for this internship will be for the entire semester, or the number of hours dictated by the institution. The areas of focus, which will be accompanied by one-on-one training with a member of our MusicalFare staff, are: Administration, House Management/Box Office, Production/Stage Management, Design (Technical, Costume Design), Directing, Acting.
THE NEXT STAGE (Paid Internships) - In Honor of John Webb
This internship will be tailored for college students already enrolled in college or a post-secondary institution. Depending on the area of concentration, the allotted time for this internship will be 5-6 weeks. The stipend will consist of $1000, over the specified time. The areas of focus will include: Directing, Technical Design (Set, Light, Costume), Production/Stage Management, Choreography.
